L-1 & L-2 Recruitment Process to Resume Soon; Strong Demand to Prioritize Local Youth
Bacheli: The demand for the early commencement of the NMDC L-1 and L-2 recruitment process has intensified, with Sarpanches of 14 Panchayats from the NMDC Complex-affected area jointly submitting a memorandum to the Chief General Manager of NMDC Bacheli Complex
The Panchayat representatives urged the management to restart the stalled recruitment process at the earliest and put a stop to the reappointment of retired employees, emphasizing that employment opportunities should be made available to unemployed youth from Dantewada, Bijapur and Sukma districts
The Sarpanches highlighted the crucial role of the NMDC Bacheli-Kirandul Project in the region’s economy and employment landscape. They said thousands of families depend directly or indirectly on the project, while the prolonged delay in recruitment has created growing disappointment among local job seekers.
Through the memorandum, the representatives called for a fair and transparent recruitment process that provides eligible local youth an opportunity to secure employment in the NMDC project.
Copies of the memorandum were also submitted to the NMDC CMD, Collector Dantewada, SDM Bade Bacheli and District Employment Officer, Dantewada.
“Local Youth Deserve Opportunity, Not Further Delay”
With 14 Panchayats coming together on a common platform, the issue of NMDC recruitment and employment for local youth has once again gained significant momentum in the region.
