Janmashtami Celebrated with Grandeur at Uttar Pradesh Bihar Cultural Committee Bhawan in Bacheli


Bacheli: Shri Krishna Janmashtami was celebrated with great enthusiasm, devotion and traditional fervour at the social building of the Uttar Pradesh Bihar Cultural and Social Welfare Committee, Bacheli, in accordance with the committee’s annual tradition.

The programme was inaugurated by the chief guest, Shri Sridhar Kodali, Project Head, NMDC Bacheli Project, who formally commenced the celebrations by offering prayers, garlanding the idol of Lord Krishna and lighting the ceremonial lamp.

Several senior NMDC officials graced the occasion as distinguished guests, including Shri Shiva Kumar, Chief General Manager (Production); Shri Mahesh Nair, General Manager (Human Resources); Shri Saurabh Mishra, Deputy General Manager (Human Resources); Shri S.R. Deharia, Head of Department (Civil); Shri Shiv Prasad Gupta, Senior Manager (Human Resources); Shri Ram Swaroop Yadav, Deputy General Manager (Finance); Shri Amarjeet Saroj, Deputy Manager (Human Resources); and Shri Amanna Chowdhary, Assistant General Manager (Civil).

The committee building was beautifully decorated for the occasion, while an attractive tableau depicting Lord Krishna and Radha Rani became a major highlight of the celebration. A large number of members of the community participated in the programme with great enthusiasm.

The entire premises resonated with devotional songs, bhajans, kirtans and religious activities, creating a deeply spiritual atmosphere. On the auspicious occasion of Lord Krishna’s birth, devotees celebrated the midnight birth ceremony amid chants of “Nand Ke Ghar Anand Bhayo, Jai Kanhaiya Lal Ki.”

Devotees offered prayers to Lord Krishna and sought blessings for peace, happiness, prosperity and well-being in the region.

Committee office-bearers said that religious and cultural celebrations such as Janmashtami play an important role in connecting society with its rich traditions and heritage. Such events also strengthen brotherhood, mutual harmony, love and social unity among community members.

The successful organisation of the programme was made possible through the active contribution and cooperation of all committee office-bearers, members and community residents.

The celebrations concluded with the distribution of prasad among the devotees.
