Bhansi: A voter awareness programme was organized at NMDC DAV ITI Bhansi on September 1 and 2, 2026, in accordance with the directions received from the Office of the Collector and District Election Officer, Dantewada. The programme aimed to promote democratic values and create greater awareness about the importance of voting among the youth.
Trainees, instructors and employees of the institute participated enthusiastically in the programme. During the event, the trainees were educated about the importance of voting, their rights as voters, and the role of young citizens in the democratic process.
The participants were encouraged not only to remain aware of their voting rights but also to motivate their family members, friends and people in their surroundings to exercise their franchise responsibly.
To spread the message of voter awareness effectively among the public, various creative and awareness-based competitions were organized at the institute, including Rangoli, Drawing, Essay Writing and Debate competitions. The trainees actively participated in these events and showcased their creativity on themes related to voting, democracy and civic responsibilities.
Through their creative presentations, the trainees effectively conveyed messages such as “My Vote, My Right” and “An Aware Voter, a Strong Democracy.”
Speaking on the occasion, Principal Kamlesh Sahu said that the active participation of every eligible citizen in the electoral process is essential for strengthening democracy. He emphasized that young people can play an important role as ambassadors of awareness in society. He appealed to all eligible trainees and employees to exercise their right to vote responsibly and encourage others to do the same.
The programme was conducted under the guidance of Amit Kumar Srivastava (BLO) along with all the instructors of the institute. At the conclusion of the programme, the trainees and employees took a voter awareness pledge, expressing their commitment to democratic values and resolving to spread the message of voter awareness among as many people as possible.
The voter awareness initiative organized by NMDC DAV ITI Bhansi was a significant step towards fostering a sense of responsible citizenship, democratic awareness and social participation among the trainees
